Nurturing Your Light
Feature documentary discussing the intersection of health and spirituality in the Black community. This presentation is a follow up to our 2018 film, “Find Your Light”, a visual presentation about the journey of self-discovery, self-love and awareness through spirituality.

is the Founder of Transformation Yoga
: A collective tribe of yoga teachers and instructors. Through this collective, they are able to teach marginalized, underserved and under represented communities with the tools of meditation, yoga and reiki.
Talim Lessane is a Reiki master level practitioner. At heart, he prides himself on being an artist and a healer. As someone who connects to spirit, he is able to fulfill that priority by helping other people. Lessane provides mobile services for reiki in and around the Charleston area. He is also knowledgeable about plant based food, and how what you eat can also be good for your soul and spirit.
finds purpose in employing mindfulness and intentional practice toward co-creating the kind of community we want to inhabit. Her purpose fuels her personal commitment to social justice – looking at is as more than just an academic pursuit, but an integral part of what makes her who she is. Earning her Bachelor’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies and Sociology, she was able to immerse herself in disciplines that value social justice as a viable lens through which to view research and activism. She currently serves as a workshop and dialouge facilitator at the Transformative Teaching Collective.
